Those are Google stats called “unique visitors”. That is some combination of ip address and machine identity. In reality I think the numbers are “unique computing devices”. So if someone reads my blog on their computer at home and on their iPad, that would count as 2 “visits”. There is some kind of time frame involved also in order to count as “unique”. The number of visits by a “unique vistor” is much higher for all cities, but I didn’t publish those numbers.

So for Ottawa over the past year, there were 76 unique computers/phones etc. reading here. I’m not sure what to make of that… but I did receive email from some other regions in Canada lower on the list telling me “no one here wants to read your blog”. So maybe that was true in that case :) Or perhaps a lot of Canadians outside Ottawa view my writing as “spiritual pornography”.

If anyone has insight into Google Analytics, please correct my understanding! Those are the exact numbers from the report, and as far as I can tell they exclude spam visits.

I am glad that I could witness reconciliation work firsthand in 2012, but sad that it had to happen only outside of UBF. I wish dearly that I could tell you UBF is different now than during your time, but as you can tell, not much is really different. Yet seeds of change have been sown and are growing.

So far those leaders who would have already sued me have been kept at bay. I can only pray that their hearts may be changed. If not, I am prepared for any consequences of my blogging!

Are those numbers the number of unique IP addresses that connected to your blog, or the total numbers of visits?

Expect that UBF will try to discourage you from writing by all means. They do not want that these things are published and talked about. If nothing helps, maybe the will try to shut down your website with their lawyers or apoligize privately or even try to offer you money for being silent. Except them doing anything, except starting and open discussion and admitting any problems.
